The sales of the game Metro Exodus exceeded 10 million copies
4A Games' post-apocalyptic shooter Metro Exodus hit a new sales record.
4A Games studio is developing two more games from the Metro series. However, Metro Exodus, as the latest version of this series, still performs well in terms of sales. Now, the developer has announced that sales of the game, Metro Xades, have crossed the 10 million mark across all platforms since its launch in February 2019. In May 2023, it was announced that the post-apocalyptic shooter had sold 8.5 million copies worldwide.
As a sequel to Metro: Last Light, Metro Exodus follows Artyom, Anna and their allies as they leave Moscow in search of the remnants of humanity in the Aurora locomotive. Unlike the previous versions, this game has missions with vast environments to explore, collectible items and landmarks. Some craftable items can be obtained while on the move, and new upgrades can be obtained by completing side missions.
Metro Exodus game is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 , Xbox One, and Xbox Series X platforms . Xbox Series S and PC can be experienced. Metro Awakening is a virtual reality prequel to Metro 2033 and will be released in 2024 for PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and PC VR headsets. The fourth version of Metro is also under development and will be released when it is ready.
