The idea of making a Halo game similar to Helldivers was proposed
The former developer of the Halo series of games revealed that there were many ideas for a Halo spin-off in the past.

According to many Halo fans, this idea could be a great formula for making a spin-off of this series. However, it seems that some of the former developers of this series at Studio 343 Industries once had exactly such an idea.
A fan published a new post on X claiming that 343 Industries once had an idea to make an ODST game that was actually exactly like Helldivers. Of course, this user did not say how he got this information, but the account leaks_infinte (which covers news and information about the Halo collection) announced in the comments section that he heard such news in 2022: "I don't know when this idea was presented. Next, Kevin Schmidt , the former developer and chief designer of Halo Infinite entered the discussion, which increased the validity of this claim. He said that there were many ideas for making various games and spin-offs of the Halo series, but none of them made it to production. "Over the 12 years we were there, we came up with 20 to 30 different game ideas that fit perfectly with the Halo universe," the developer stated. Many of these ideas were related to the single and multiplayer ODST games. "Some were flowing in galaxies, some were simpler... and one was really dark."
Naturally, the non-use of these ideas is met with different reactions from the fans and leads to the upset and confusion of some gamers..
